Larry Conti, the owner of The Conti Memorial Group, started selling Memorials in 1971 at Portage Marble and Granite. Larry worked for Portage Marble until the owner, Tom Buzzi, sold the company to Rock of Ages Corporation in 1998. Larry stayed with Rock of Ages serving as a memorial counselor at Portage Marble and Granite, then promoted to District Manager for Northeast Ohio in 1998. In 2003, he was promoted to Regional Manager covering all of Ohio. In 2006 and 2007, Larry’s duties also included sales and manager trainings for all of Rock of Ages retail stores in the United States.

In April of 2008, Larry purchased the store he started at 37 years ago, Portage Marble and Granite plus North Hill Marble in Akron, Bethel-Miller Memorials in Canton and Youngstown Memorials in Youngstown. Larry owns and manages these stores under the name of The Conti Memorials Group.
